How much does an MVP cost in 2026? India vs Dubai, with the working shown

What an MVP costs in 2026 from agencies in India and Dubai that publish prices, the wage arithmetic underneath, and the five things that move a quote.

STYLABS11 min read

Agencies that publish prices put an MVP in 2026 at roughly $3,000 to $50,000: ₹6 lakh to ₹25 lakh from Indian firms and AED 12,000 to AED 180,000 from Dubai firms. The spread is mostly team size and weeks, not geography. A senior team working for 12 weeks costs more than the bottom of either band in wages alone.

This guide lists the published prices, shows the arithmetic underneath them using developer salary data for India and the UAE, and explains what moves a quote from one band to the next. Every figure has a source and a retrieval date. Where a number is our assumption, it says so.

What agencies publish

All prices below were read from each company's own page on 3 October 2026. Conversions use the rates in the next section.

Two things stand out. Dubai's published floor is lower than India's, which is the opposite of what the salary data below predicts. And the same word, MVP, covers a price range of more than 30 to 1. Both have the same explanation: these companies are not selling the same amount of work.

Exchange rates used

US$1 = ₹96.37 and US$1 = AED 3.6725, the dirham's fixed peg (ExchangeRate-API, open endpoint, rates updated 3 October 2026 00:02 UTC, retrieved 3 October 2026). One lakh is 100,000 rupees.

Three bands, and what each one buys

Sorting the published prices by what the page says is included gives three bands. These are market bands from the table above, not STYLABS prices.

BandIndiaDubaiUS dollarsWhat the publishers describe
Single-flow buildUp to about ₹9 lakhAED 5,000 to 35,000Up to about $9,500One core user flow, often a single platform
Standard MVP₹10 lakh to ₹38 lakhAED 37,000 to 147,000$10,000 to $40,000Several connected flows, cross-platform, payments and third-party integrations
Heavy MVP₹48 lakh and upAED 180,000 and up$50,000 and upWeb plus mobile, complex or regulated products, ongoing support

The bands overlap in practice. One hard integration can move a single-flow product into standard money on its own.

The working: what a team costs in wages

A price is people multiplied by time, plus the agency's overhead and margin. The people part can be checked against salary surveys.

Reference team (our assumption). Four builders, meaning engineers and a designer, plus a lead at half time, for 12 weeks. That is the shape of a senior product team, not the smallest team that could ship something.

India. Stack Overflow's 2025 Developer Survey reports median annual compensation in India of $13,949 for a full-stack developer and $52,308 for an engineering manager, based on 1,093 responses from India (Stack Overflow, 2025 Developer Survey, Work, retrieved 3 October 2026). The survey has no designer figure for India, so the designer is priced as a full-stack developer.

UAE. Talent Arabia's UAE Technology Salary Guide 2026, published February 2026, gives a median monthly salary of AED 18,000 for a software engineer and AED 32,000 for an engineering manager (Talent Arabia, UAE Technology Salary Guide 2026, retrieved 3 October 2026). The guide does not state its sample size or whether allowances are included.

IndiaUAE
Four builders, per year4 × $13,949 = $55,7964 × AED 18,000 × 12 = AED 864,000
Half a lead, per year0.5 × $52,308 = $26,1540.5 × AED 32,000 × 12 = AED 192,000
Team wages, per year$81,950AED 1,056,000
Team wages, 12 weeks (× 12/52)$18,912AED 243,692
In rupees₹18.2 lakh₹63.9 lakh
In dirhamsAED 69,453AED 243,692
In US dollars$18,912$66,356

The same team costs 3.5 times as much to employ in the UAE as in India at these medians.

What the wage floor tells you

These are wages only. They leave out employer costs, office, software, time between projects, and profit. An agency has to charge more than this to stay in business. How much more varies, and we have not found a public source for it, so we do not put a number on it here.

Three caveats on the figures themselves:

  • The Stack Overflow median covers every experience level and is self-reported. Senior engineers in Mumbai or Bengaluru earn more than the median, so a senior Indian team sits above ₹18.2 lakh.
  • The UAE guide comes from one recruiter and gives no method. Treat AED 18,000 as an indication.
  • The reference team is our choice. Halve the team and the floor halves.

What the comparison is good for is reading a quote. If a Dubai agency quotes AED 30,000 for an MVP, that sum would pay the reference team's UAE wages for about a week and a half. So one of three things is true: the team is much smaller, the build is much shorter, or the engineers are employed somewhere cheaper than Dubai. None of those is wrong. You should know which one you are buying.

The same test works in India. ₹6 lakh is about a third of the 12-week wage floor for the reference team. It buys a smaller team, fewer weeks, or people earning below the median.

Reading a quote in hours

A second check uses hourly rates. RaftLabs publishes a regional rate table that puts India and Southeast Asia at $25 to $55 an hour, Eastern Europe at $40 to $80, Western Europe at $60 to $120 and North America at $80 to $150 (RaftLabs, above).

Divide a quote by the rate to see how much work it contains:

QuoteIn US dollarsHours at $25Hours at $55
AED 15,000$4,08416374
₹8.5 lakh$8,820353160
$20,000$20,000800364
₹25 lakh$25,9421,038472

One person working full time for 12 weeks is 480 hours. The reference team above is 2,160 hours. A $20,000 MVP at Indian rates is therefore somewhere between one person for nine weeks and two people for ten. That can be the right amount of work for a single-flow product. It is not a five-person team for a quarter.

What moves the number

Five things account for most of the distance between a $5,000 quote and a $50,000 one.

Scope shape. The count of features matters less than the count of loops. A product with one core loop, such as list, book, pay, is cheap relative to one with three loosely related loops, because each loop has its own design, edge cases and tests.

Integrations. Every outside system is a dependency the team does not control. A hosted checkout is a short job. A bank, an ERP or a property management system with sandbox approval queues is weeks. Integrations are the most common reason a simple MVP stops being simple.

Design depth. A working product on a standard component library is one cost. A brand-led product with its own identity and design system is another. A product in English and Arabic is a third: TekRevol's Dubai guide calls Arabic right-to-left layout "a separate design system", to be built alongside the English one from the first week of design (TekRevol, above).

AI features. One call to a language model to summarise or classify is a small job. An agent with retrieval, human review, evaluation and cost controls is a subsystem with its own architecture and a monthly running cost in model usage.

Compliance. Health records, financial data and regulated personal data add consent flows, access controls and audit trails that never appear in a demo. RaftLabs prices healthcare and fintech MVPs at $25,000 to $60,000+, above its SaaS band of $10,000 to $20,000.

Build cost is also separate from running cost. Hosting, model usage and maintenance are monthly lines, and a quote that leaves them out is not cheaper, only incomplete.

Choosing an MVP development company in Dubai or Mumbai

Location changes three things: wages, contracts and contact.

  • Wages. At the survey medians above, an India-employed team costs under a third of a UAE-employed one. A Dubai price far below the UAE wage floor means a smaller team, fewer weeks, or delivery from somewhere cheaper. Ask where the engineers are employed.
  • Contracts and invoicing. Ask which legal entity signs the contract, in which country, and in which currency it invoices. The answer matters for tax, for payment, and for where a dispute would be heard.
  • Contact. If the founders want workshops in a room, the team has to be near that room for those weeks. Remote delivery works when someone senior on the agency side owns the weekly demo.

A firm with people in both places can put the senior conversation near the founder and the build where it costs less. STYLABS is set up this way, with teams in Dubai and Mumbai.

What STYLABS charges, and what it has shipped

STYLABS quotes new products as a fixed proposal after a scoping call. It states two things publicly: a typical new product takes about 12 weeks from kickoff to launch, and its AI-native process costs up to 40% less than traditional development.

A STYLABS MVP typically runs from ₹8 lakh to ₹30 lakh, or AED 33,000 to AED 130,000.

The 40% comes from a specific place. AI handles boilerplate, QA cycles and deployment pipelines, so senior engineers spend their time on the parts that are hard. It does not come out of deciding what to build, the architecture, or senior review of generated code. A discount on those is a rebuild later.

Timelines from published case studies:

  • Makarska Exklusiv shipped in 12 weeks: brand, design and build of a booking platform with 110 villas and apartments live.
  • Profound Properties took 14 weeks: a rebrand and a Dubai property site in six languages. Qualified inbound leads rose 3x in the first quarter after launch.
  • MOMA took 10 weeks: brand, design and build of a portfolio site across three disciplines.

The two-week gap between Makarska and Profound is the scope drivers above in practice: more languages and a listings system are more work.

STYLABS's MVP service is a production-grade build of the core flow, ready for paying users, on TypeScript, React, Next.js and PostgreSQL. In scope, that is what this guide calls a standard MVP.

When STYLABS is the wrong choice

  • You need a demo, not a product. If the goal is a clickable prototype for a pitch, a prototyping tool or a package such as ControlShift's or Wezo's is the right spend.
  • Your budget sits in the single-flow band. A senior team for 12 weeks does not fit inside it, as the wage arithmetic shows.
  • You already have engineers. Then you need a designer or a contractor, not a studio.

How to lower the price without lowering the quality

Cut loops, not polish. Build one loop at full quality. Every feature deferred is money kept and a decision made later with real user data.

Use a boring stack. Common technology has more engineers who know it and fewer surprises in month four.

Rent the commodity parts. Authentication, payments, email, error tracking and file storage are solved problems. Pay for a hosted service and spend the build budget on what is yours.

Ask for the hours. A quote that states team, weeks and what is excluded can be compared with another. A single number cannot.

FAQ

How much does an MVP cost in 2026? Agencies that publish prices put an MVP at roughly $3,000 to $50,000 in 2026. Single-flow builds sit under about $9,500, standard MVPs with custom design and integrations run $10,000 to $40,000, and products with web plus mobile, regulated data or deep integrations start around $50,000. The price follows team size and weeks more than location.

How much does MVP development cost in India? One Indian agency, KSoft Technologies, gives ₹6 lakh to ₹25 lakh as a general range, with focused SaaS MVPs from ₹8.5 lakh. RaftLabs, which has a base in Ahmedabad, publishes $10,000 to $40,000 for simple to medium MVPs. At Stack Overflow's 2025 median salaries, a five-person Indian team costs about ₹18 lakh in wages alone for 12 weeks.

How much does an MVP cost in Dubai? Dubai agencies publish from about AED 12,000 to more than AED 180,000. TekRevol's three tiers are AED 18,000 to 70,000, AED 70,000 to 180,000, and AED 180,000 and above. A team employed in the UAE costs about AED 244,000 in wages for 12 weeks at median salaries, so low Dubai quotes usually mean a small team or offshore delivery.

Is it cheaper to build an MVP in India than in Dubai? In wages, yes. At published medians the same five-person team costs about 3.5 times as much to employ in the UAE as in India. Published agency prices do not show that gap, because many Dubai firms deliver with engineers employed elsewhere. Compare quotes by team, weeks and hours, not by the city on the letterhead.

Why is my MVP quote higher than the estimates online? Online estimates usually price a single-flow product with a standard design and no hard integrations. A payout flow, an ERP or PMS integration, an AI subsystem or regulated data each move a product up a band. A quote that names those drivers is more useful than a low one that leaves them for week six.
